Gusto payroll
Gusto, which debuted as ZenPayroll in 2012, offers services to more than 200,000 businesses nationally. It was founded by Josh Reeves, Tomer London, and Edward Kim and has its headquarters in San Francisco, California.
It offers cloud-based payroll, benefits, and human resource management software. Gusto manages payments to workers and independent contractors as well as the electronic filing of documents required to support client businesses in adhering to tax, labor, and immigration rules. Gusto is now used by more than 100,000 companies in the US to manage benefits and payroll. A list of investors in Gusto also includes well-known people like Jared Leto, Ashton Kutcher, and Alexis Ohanian.

- The software will automatically compute the payroll once you have provided all the necessary data, such as pay rate, hours worked, deductions, etc.
- Gusto offers you three different methods of paying your employees each pay period: printed checks, prepaid debit cards, and direct deposit.
- Gusto is in charge of all payroll tax obligations. Gusto further pays all relevant payroll taxes on your company’s behalf.
- The program automatically creates your employees’ year-end W-2 and 1099 tax forms. The forms are then digitally distributed to each employee and contractor.
- Gusto can be used to pay all different kinds of employees. This comprises independent contractors, consultants, and other full- and part-time W-2 employees as well as freelancers.
- Gusto completes and submits all the necessary documentation to the state on behalf of each new worker your business hires.
