Ko-fi enables content creators to get little tips from viewers about their work. Anybody can set up a Ko-fi profile, post their unique Ko-fi link, and add a Ko-fi button to their website. Each donation is around the same amount as a coffee. The money goes straight to the author, who is free to use it in anyway they see fit. We used coffee as a nice metaphor for showing support. Ko-fi can be compared to a virtual tip jar. It is founded by Nigel and the company has its headquarters in Cambridge, Cambridgeshire.
