Personal plans come in 5TB and 10TB forms, and Team plans are available for anywhere between five and 100 users, offering 1TB per person. Larger companies will benefit from the Business plan, offering as little as 250GB or as much as 50TB per person, with an unlimited number of users.

To use the service, you first need to create an account and choose to either use a private encryption key or an IDrive-managed key (the default). The private-encryption-key option means you alone can access your backed-up files and that IDrive cannot decrypt your data even if compelled by law enforcement. If you tend to lose a password every now and then, the default option is likely best, since IDrive cannot help you recover a private key if you forget it.

IDrive offers consumers to securely backup multiple computers, and mobile devices into one account for the same cost. Businesses can create multiple user accounts and manage the backups of their computers/servers with ease.
